BOARD OF DIRECTORS An elected Board of Directors; five officers and eleven directors govern the Chamber. The Board of Directors is made up of 16 chamber members who have been elected to serve 3 year terms, with an option to re-commit to an additional three years. The Board of Directors are the member representative who have the fiduciary responsibility and are the policy makers that direct the organization. Duties include making sure the organization has the financial resources to operate. They are also responsible for creation of the annual business plan to meet the current and future needs of the business community. Board members are encouraged to participate in one or more chamber committees so that they can report committee activities to the board. The Board establishes goals, sets policy and promotes programs and projects, which will benefits its members and the community of Havre. Some of this accomplished with help of committees and task forces. Administrative Director and Office Manager are employed by the Chamber to maintain the membership and the day to day running of the office. Board members are encouraged to attend membership functions and further the communications of chamber work. Time investment for Board of Directors is usually on 3-4 hours monthly.
