Meets regularly to develop leadership
program.
Objective: To give students insight in to the
community; to get involved in issues and the decision process; to appreciate and
respect diversity and understand the importance of planning and goal setting.
The program helps potential leaders become effective leaders. 24 juniors
participate in the program each year.
The Chamber’s sponsorship and involvement in the program
sends a message about our commitment to our Youth by providing them with a solid
background in civics and increasing their knowledge about all the many facets of
like in Havre, from government to volunteering.
We have long believed that the best way to ensure a bright
future for all or our citizens is to make an investment in our youth. With
help from may key sponsors, we have watched the program grow to into one of the
more successful youth programs in the state.
The Leadership High School program is a partnership between
the chamber, Havre Public School and Havre High School.
The Havre Leadership Program
has been the
recipient of grants; 2 from PPL
Montana for 2007 and 2008 and Wal-Mart for 2007.
