City/Community Parks

Recreation can be found in on town at city parks and swimming pool, two 9-hole golf courses and historic attractions. Day trips can be taken to Beaver Creek Park to camp, hike and fish or ski in the winter or  take a run to Fresno Reservoir for a day of boating and fishing.

Children’s recreational sports are a high priority. Local parks are filled with young enthusiastic participants, their parents and grandparents, where tennis, skateboarding soccer, and the traditional sports share billing.  The winter  provides hockey and ice skating opportunities.   The high school and the college teams offer another opportunity for spectators to cheer for their favorite sport.  School spirit and rivalry runs deep along the Hi-Line.
