It’s that wonderful time of year again; with the end of summer comes Havre Festival Days. The Chamber office staff has been busy since early spring planning this year’s weekend of September 16th-18th.
The theme for the weekend is, “An Old Fashion Western Celebration.”
Some of the old favorites taking place will be the Chamber’s Festival of Crafts Show, the Kiwanis Pancake Feed, the Library Book Sale, the Hi-Line Quilt Show, the Fun Run/Walk, the 48-hour softball Tournament and the ever popular Parade.
MSU-Northern will join the roster of events this year with the celebration of Northern’s Homecoming. Events being planned for the weekend include: a golf tournament, and an evening concert on the lawn on Friday, a tailgate celebration preceding a grid iron clash on Saturday afternoon with Eastern Oregon,
The Chamber’s Agribusiness Committee will be hosting their 16th Ag Appreciation Banquet, Saturday evening at the Ice Dome. This sell out event recognizes our neighbors and friends in Montana’s #1 industry.
Plan to attend “The Empty Tea Pots” event that had huge success last year. The “Empty Tea Pots” gathering is a fund-raiser for the Havre Community Food Bank. Attendees choose a locally made pottery tea pot and make a monetary donation to the cause. Those attending will be served tea and dessert during the gathering,
The weekend celebration wraps up with the Festival Walk/Run, the Jaycees Soap Box Derby, a fun game of croquet and ice cream at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Also, the Shrine Beef raffle drawings will take place at the Demo Derby.
A full schedule of events follows this article.
