This small home is very typical of the homes built on the prairie after the wheat farmers had a few good crop years. These successful homesteaders could afford to upgrade from the original two room tar paper shack to a place like this with seven windows, three rooms and a loft for sleeping. This "1914 Homestead" was last occupied by a family of nine living on the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation.
